In Armin’s book, it states that his longest set ever was 12 and a half hours at Club Eau (The Hague) in 2002. Here is the recording of that set in its partial 7-hour glory. Spinning for 12 hours in a row? I don’t care what genre you’re playing, but that’s fucking nuts. When did he have time to take bathroom breaks? I can’t even begin to imagine what this night must have been like. Those lucky bastards who did attend this event were witness to one of the greatest trance sets in history. Some might say that the early 2000’s was when trance was in its heyday, and just by glancing over the tracklist, it’s very hard to argue against this statement. This mix is packed end to end with solid tunes, and if you can manage to get through all 7 hours, you will have heard many of the cornerstones which have made trance what it is today. For me, there’s just too many good songs to name, so I will let you decide which ones are your favorites.
