For me 2003 was the year I started college, but for John 00 Fleming, his career was already well underway as he traveled to Ireland for the annual Coloursfest dance festival. Coloursfest was traditionally held in Scotland, but in 2003 the party was moved across the Irish sea to the Hotel Oasis in Ireland. The event consisted of 5 stages, split up into the following categories of music: hard trance/house, techno, house/techno, old school jams (including hip-hop, R&B), and local Irish talent. John 00 Fleming did his thing on stage 1 amongst other DJs such as Scot Project, Public Domain, Push, and Sonique. Other notable names across the board include Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing, Green Velvet, Umek, Steve Lawler, Felix da Housecat, and James Zabiela. This set is a little bit on the short side (under 1 hour), but I like the energy that J00F brings with his track selection. The mixing is great, and you get to hear some ambient crowd noise with the recording. One of these days I will get to witness a music festival like this in Europe, now the question is… which is the best one to attend?
